Susanna Argenterio Savelli, che si definisce “Mercurio di Angelo Savelli”, ovvero messaggero della sua opera, nasce il 25 febbraio 1961 a Corticelle Pieve, nella Bassa Bresciana, figlia di Innocenzo e Clotilde e sorella minore di Ivonne e Patrizio. Cresciuta nella pianura della valle del Po, si dedica sin da bambina alla danza, che approfondisce con studi a Firenze, Milano e New York, fino a entrare nel mondo dello spettacolo televisivo nazionale.

Nel 1986, spinta dalla ricerca di una nuova dimensione artistica, si trasferisce a New York, dove incontra il maestro italo-americano Angelo Savelli, una delle figure più enigmatiche e anticonformiste dell’arte contemporanea. Tra loro si instaura un legame spirituale unico, che porta Susanna a divenire figlia elettiva di Savelli e a condividere con lui un profondo percorso artistico e umano.

Anche dopo la morte di Savelli nel 1995, la loro comunione spirituale non si è mai dissolta. Per onorare la memoria e l’opera di questo “pittore del bianco”, nel 2012 Susanna pubblica “Quel diavolo di un Angelo. Angelo Savelli, il pittore del bianco, il mio secondo padre”. In questo libro, narrato con coraggio e passione, Susanna svela i lati più intimi del rapporto con il maestro, rendendo omaggio alla sua sensibilità e al suo spirito ribelle.

Su desiderio espresso in vita da Savelli, il 22 ottobre 2015 Susanna ottiene l’autorizzazione del Ministero dell’Interno ad aggiungere al cognome paterno Argenterio il cognome Savelli, in riconoscimento del profondo legame filiale e della sua dedizione nel preservare l’eredità artistica del maestro.

Oggi, felicemente sposata, Susanna continua la sua battaglia per difendere l’immagine e le volontà di un artista generoso e visionario, affrontando avversità e incomprensioni. Con energia e passione, si impegna a far emergere la verità su un uomo e un’opera che hanno segnato profondamente la sua vita e il mondo dell’arte.

To honor the memory and legacy of this “painter of white,” Susanna published “That Devil of an Angel: Angelo Savelli, Painter of White, My Second Father” in 2012. In this courageous and passionate narrative, Susanna reveals the most intimate aspects of her relationship with the artist, paying homage to his sensitivity and rebellious spirit.

On October 22, 2015, following Savelli’s express wishes, Susanna was authorized by the Italian Ministry of the Interior to add Savelli to her paternal surname, Argenterio, as recognition of their profound filial bond and her dedication to preserving the artist’s legacy.

Today, happily married, Susanna continues her fight to defend the image and wishes of a generous and visionary artist, overcoming challenges and misunderstandings.
